Ways to Volunteer
driving
Provide occasional rides to medical appointments and social events. May require a steady arm to escort in and out of the building. Drivers use their own vehicles. Appointments are arranged as needed and according to the drivers availability. Drivers usually provide 1-3 rides per month; almost all are during regular M-F business hours.
friendly visitor
Volunteer for occasional visits. Play card games, go on a walk, find common interests and socialize with one of the wonderful seniors in our community. Make a difference in an elders life and yours!
CHORES
Many of our clients need a volunteer to occasionally shovel their sidewalk, mow their lawn or do a seasonal yard clean-up. These services are provided on an as-needed basis, not on a regular schedule.
One-Time/Single Event
We often need volunteers on a one-time basis (e.g. distributing door hangers in the neighborhoods).
Our volunteers often provide additional services which can include helping a senior with a new phone, installing a window AC unit, hanging a picture or a mirror on the wall, and so much more.
